Azaleas

Here is a selection of some of the azaleas we grow

Indica Azaleas

Indica Azaleas

Azalea Indica varieties are very popular and there are lots of colours, their flowers are usually larger than that of the Kurume varieties and most grow 1-1.2m tall.

The Indicas spot flower from autumn through winter, with their main flush in spring.

Kurume Azaleas

Kurume Azaleas

Kurume Azaleas are stunning with an abundance of smaller, clustered flowers.  Most Kurume hybrids grow from around 80cm to 1m, although some varieties grow a bit larger.  Flowers are small but quite numerous, often masking the foliage. Colours range from white to pink, salmon or red, and some are bicolored.

Satsuki and Gumpo Azaleas

Satsuki and Gumpo Azaleas

Satsuki hybrids come from Japan.  They are very popular for Bonsai and flower later than the other varieties. Gumpo is a dwarf form of Satsuki and is very popular for use as under-planting, borders and areas where smaller Azaleas are more suitable.
