Acer palmatum ‘Sango Kaku’ syn ‘Senkaki’

  • A great grafted variety of Japanese Maple. 
  • It has year-round interest, a rounded habit and neat foliage and stunning coral-red bark, which is especially noticeable during winter.

The foliage emerges a bright-light green colour turning to a brilliant yellow with an apricot-orange tinge in autumn.

Usage

  • A great feature tree for small gardens, forests, groups or mass planting. 
  • Also looks nice planted in groups with other maples, Japanese gardens and general garden planting.

Comments

  • Grow in full sun to part shade. 
  • Prefers moist, well-drained soil and protection from hot winds. 
  • Cultivate well before planting with compost/cow manure and mulch well after planting.
